MSI BEAT IT 2011 EU qualifer #1 has come down to four teams who will battle it out tomorrow for one
MSI BEAT IT 2011 EU qualifer #1 has come down to four teams who will battle it out tomorrow for one spot in the final tournament at DreamHack Winter.
The first MSI BEAT 2011 European online qualifier started today when three rounds of play were held. That cut down the list of 32 teams to the last four, who will continue their battle tomorrow in the semi-final.
The first semi-final will pit recent IEM6 GC Guangzhou winners fnatic against Danish mix team face.
The Swedes didn't look as convincing as expected today, but they still did their job by defeating USSR 16-10 and XpreZ 16-11. On the other hand, the Danes had to deal with Romanian WCG representative IGG, who they beat 16-12 and then a very international mix of players in puta who they overcame with the same score.

In the second semi-final, ESC Gaming, whose star player Andreas "MODDII" Fridh should be back for tomorrow's matches after missing out today due to attending a LAN tournament, will meet another Danish mix, SKELETON-KINGZ.
Even without their star player, ESC Gaming strolled through the first three rounds without any trouble against the likes of Latvian team Headache and Finnish squad aNimus-Gaming. SKELETON-KINGZ however did have trouble, especially in the second round against British team decerto when they pulled through to overtime and eventually won 19-15 on de_forge.

These two matches are scheduled for 18:00 and both will be played in best-of-three mode.
The final will be played shortly after semi-finals are finished and the winner will be awarded a spot in the MSI BEAT IT 2011 tournament at DreamHack Winter, along with $1,000.
Stay tuned to HLTV.org all day tomorrow as we will start early with the remaining two quarter-finals at SEC 2011, followed by semi-finals and the final, while in the evening we will cover the ending of this qualifier.
